About La Mein Natural Noodles

Located at 711 Fair Oaks Ave H, South Pasadena, CA 91030, La Mein Natural Noodles operates as a chinese restaurant serving South Pasadena in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10:30 am–8 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach La Mein Natural Noodles at (626) 441-0441; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Hi, I was craving some Chinese food and when I tried the orange chicken, I found out that there was nothing but old pieces of Orange chicken inside it was extremely sweet and hard. The chow men looked old and dry.

For the longest time, I had been passing this spot although never went inside. I told myself I would return when craving some Americanized Chinese food. Well, today my chance arrived. I came in to get chow mein and orange chicken for lunch. I felt like I needed veggies, so I got those. The veggies were just boiled vegetables in oil. Nothing special. In fact, they tasted kind of bland. But they did the trick anyway, and I got full when I ate them before everything else. Prior to actually dining here, I'd heard that the orange chicken can be too sweet. It was, although when compared with others I'd had I didn't think so. Seemed on par. Chow mein was really light... I don't know what they put in it. I am a noodle person. Therefore, I enjoyed this. I got the feeling that the Chinese food they serve is a lot healthier and lighter than other competitors. I'd come back when craving Americanized Chinese in the area.

Okay Chinese-American takeout. They've been at this location for a long time so they're doing things right. Being a heat-lamps place, he food tastes at its best between 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. If you go later you're better off paying extra just go with a la carte cooked to order. Lady owner can come across as detached and rude at times, but she means well, just some cultural dissonance. I'm glad they were able to stay open through Covid.
